This painting was inspired by a day trip I took with my family to Carizzo Plains, California during the super bloom of 2017. In the distant we could see glimpses of flowers at the base of the hills but as we moved closer it revealed the largest expanse of flowers I have ever seen. It was a sight to behold and I will carry the memory with me forever.
